Earthy Bright Blossoms

Don't limit your card designs. Create an autumn card with Earthy Bright Blossoms!

Even with the stamp set name Bright Blossoms, you can still stamp in earthy tones!

Every time I work with the Bright Blossoms stamp set, I work in bold, bright colors. Maybe the name puts the idea in my head. Maybe it's because this stamp set was first introduced in the spring. But the days are getting cooler and the autumn colors are all around me outside. So, I just naturally start thinking about fall-type colors in my card designs!

This card does not have traditional fall colors, but they are indeed "earthy" when they appear together.  Colors used are Calypso Coral, Island Indigo and Summer Starfruit. I stamped the stems and leaves from the stamp set. Then, using the circular buds as a starting point, I constructed a flower from concentric, punched circles. I glued them together to one side and added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel. Quick and easy, for sure!

Note, too, that I ran the Island Indigo card stock through my Big Shot with the Framed Tulip Folder embossing folder. That certainly is something you don't expect to see on a fall card!

Other than the central flower, everything is symmetrical here. Simple, straightforward, and classic. Makes me just enjoy my Earthy Bright Blossoms!

  1. I’ll do what I can!

The borders are fun. I’ve been working with a regular embossing folder, trying to make it into a border. But not successful yet. I’ll keep you informed of my progress.

  2. Love the color combo — whatever the season!! Great layout, too! Would love SU to come up with another border/frame embossing folder. Pass the word?
