Petite Pairs and a Cool Circle!

I love to "play" with my stamp sets, ink, card stock and embellishments. However, when I'm feeling particularly creative, I will put a "twist" on things, using my everyday products in a new or different way. That's what happened with this card, designed using Petite Pairs and a Cool Circle!

This card has lots of circles, but one is a particularly cool circle!

The cool circle is the one made from 4 different pieces of Designer Series Paper. To make it, I punched 4 circles with the 1-3/8" Circle Punch, each from a different paper. I lined them up and then cut the circles into 4 strips with my Paper Trimmer. Then, I combined 4 different designs for each circle.

To make the cool circle, I punched a circle from scrap paper using the 1" Circle Punch. I covered it liberally with SNAIL Adhesive, then lay the 4 strips on top. The base underneath made the Designer Series Paper circle easier to handle.

The sentiment is from Petite Pairs. Colors are Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand and Cherry Cobbler. It's really pretty simple to assemble.

Have you ever used a mosaic-type technique like this on a card design? Leave me a comment below and let me know.

And although this card is unique, there is a time-saving bonus. Once you make the Designer Series Paper Cool Circle, you have the materials for 3 more circles!

Here are the 3 other cool circles I made at the same time!

Of course, you can use the cool technique on other shapes, like hearts. Won't they make a fabulous Valentine's Day card? But, for now, I'm perfectly happy with this Petite Pairs and a Cool Circle!

  1. Very cute and clever! Another case of “great minds” thinking alike! I’m working on a “mosaic” using the maple leaf from Autumn Accents Bigz Die!!! I’m breaking it into 5 parts and using a different fall color of cardstock for each section. Hope it turns out as well IRL as it looks in my mind!
