Some card designs evolve and that was the case with this card. It started as a color block design, but ended up like this:
The Gingerbread Men were stamped with the Scentsational Season stamp set, then punched out with the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine and the Holiday Collection Framelits Die. How cute and SO quick! (These items are both from the Holiday Mini, here until January 2.) I love when Stampin' Up! matches a stamp image with a punch or die.
The snowflakes are all from Snow Swirled and the sentiment is from Greetings of the Season (also from the Holiday Mini). Don't you just love that curly font? So festive, but easy to read!
Colors are Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Gumball Green and Real Red. Take a closer look at the Gingerbread Men. Their little buttons are made from Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details. They add just a touch of fun and sparkle.
So, in the end, I'm glad that I didn't stay with the color block design. Maybe tomorrow. Or just another day. Today is for the Scentsational Season's Gingerbread Man.
That’s so funny! I was going to write that the Gingerbread Men look good enough to eat, but thought people would think I’m being silly. But they do!!
Isn’t it fun how a card evolves? Particularly if you’re happy with the end result! It does play havoc with the craft room, though. Card stock and ink and tools all over the place!! Love the little gingerbread guys and their festive buttons!! They look good enough to eat!
