Pure Gumption in a Pure Fall Card Design

One cool morning and I'm ready for fall. So, how about this Pure Gumption for a Pure Fall Day?

Pure Gumption in traditional fall colors

I started with colors in the Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper, picking out the More Mustard, Island Indigo. Then I swapped Always Artichoke for the Lucky Limeade.

I ran the More Mustard card stock through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A little sponging with Early Espresso Ink gives it a more rustic look. I also curled up 2 of the corners of the patterned paper. The Naturals Designer Button and Linen Thread completed the look I wanted. Finally, little Gold Glow Smooch Spritz makes the whole thing look special.

I'm not really ready to jump into fall – not until the little kids are back at school. But for today, I wanted Pure Gumption for a Pure Fall Card Design.

  1. Thanks! Inspiration for this card came from a make-and-take that my upline made for a recent meeting. Lots of fun.

But I agree. I’m glad that the extreme heat is gone for now. But I’m not ready for autumn. Not yet!

  2. Love it! Yes the button is a great idea and the plaid is so fun. I am lovin the cooler Aug but fall- ugh! but with school starting this week it is inevitable!

  3. I like waiting until October 1. That gives us so much more summer to look forward to 🙂

  4. Well, I for one, am glad for the beautiful, cool day but I am in NO WAY ready for Fall yet!!! A cooler August, okay. But I still think your card is absolutely adorable and I just love the use of the button for a stem. Genius! The woodgrain embossing folder is on my “next up” list!! We don’t formally acknowledge Fall at our house until October 1, so I have some time before I make my cards!!
