In case you’re not playing along, I’ll tell you. This paper is from the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper. Although this paper coordinates with Little Twinkle Suite of products, you’re not limited to it.
Actually, I had planned to add a Thank You to the card front. At the end, I decided to leave it off. I think I’m going to make a few of these cards and keep them on hand. When I need a specific sentiment, I’ll stamp it on the inside. You can say that this card design works really well for all occasions! And that makes me very happy!!
The 4-1-1
- Tilt the paper – Most of us, and that includes me, tend to use our Designer Series Paper either straight up-and-down or turned 90 degrees. After all, that’s easiest and makes the most efficient use of the paper. However, on today’s card, I turned the striped paper on an angle. Pretty interesting, don’t you think?
- Daisy with dimension – I often punch 2 daisies, using the Daisy Punch. But when i chose Whisper White cardstock, the resulting flower was flat. I tried to sponge a little Calypso Coral ink on the central part of the bottom flower. I like the effect! How about you?
- Mix and match patterns – I’m always a little reluctant to mix two patterns on one card. It works here because one pattern (the stripes) is bold while the second pattern (the polka dots) is soft. The 2 patterns are not fighting each other for your attention.
