As we approach the last day of the current annual catalog, I’m working fondly with the stamp sets and products that will retire. Today is the last time For the New Two – one of the most fun sets that I have!
This card started with the color scheme: Pink Pirouette, Bermuda Bay and Whisper White. Yes, White is a color. 🙂
I picked the sentiment from For the New Two, stamping it in Bermuda Bay and coloring the flowers in Pink Pirouette. I lightly stamped the tiny flower clusters from Botanical Blooms 141757. Each time I inked up the stamp, I touched it to the paper 2, and sometimes even 3, times. That gives the background more interest and some depth!
The strip along the left was stamped with Bordering Blooms 133660. I love the versatility of this set. It’s made of 4 long photopolymer stamps. Photopolymer allows you to curve the stamp before sticking it on the acrylic block. In fact, on an earlier trial design, I curves the vine slightly to the right. It gave a nice effect, but not what I wanted on this particular design.
Finally, the two hearts in the lower right corner were punch using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, 133787 another product that’s going to retire. Sigh. After attaching them to the card front, I stuck an Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Sticker on top of each. It doesn’t show well in the photo, but these clear rounded shapes are so beautiful. Perfect for a wedding card! Or any other celebration, now that I think of it!
Just remember that many of the products I used today will retire on May 31. Some are available for purchase only while supplies last. So head on over to my online store before it’s too late.
This is really my last time For the New Two!
