The sentiment is from Something Fancy stamp set.
As blue is my favorite color, I used the Countryside Inn 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. These papers use several shades of blue, each prettier than the other! If’s difficult to see in the photo, but the matt under the stamped sentiment is also a patterned sheet of paper.
I added both the Gold & Vanilla 3/8″ Satin Edged Ribbon and the Lemon Lolly hexagon for a pop of color. Isn’t it interesting that a pop can be a soft color? Of course, the Lemon Lolly Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems finish the design. So simple, but it clearly delivers the message.
Inside the card I stamped another sentiment. I particularly like when a stamp set provides appropriate text for the card front AND the inside. I also added flowers from Country Bouquet stamp set. Here’s a peek at the inside.

How to decide?
How do you decide which stamp sets to buy? Typically, I choose these:
- Stamp sets that I want, but didn’t get around to buying yet, or
- Stamp sets that contain only sentiments.
Regarding the sentiments… I tend to hold off on these sets because I prefer to stamp images. But I always want images on my cards. So the sets of sentiments tend to remain on my To Purchase list. A sale like the one today is one where I finally buy them! 🙂
