How to Make a Clean & Simple Anniversary Card

Today’s post shows how to make a clean & simple anniversary card. You know, without all the mush, but still showing that you love your guy!

How to Make a Clean & Simple Anniversary Card http://stampedimpression.comI know that this stamp from Seasonally Scattered is intended for Valentine’s Day. But I often find more than one use for each product that I buy! That means my purchases are truly investments!

I have a wedding anniversary coming up in a couple of weeks. I like to make an anniversary card for my husband. It shows him that I care 🙂

Today’s card is so simple to make, it begins with a “classic” layout. Colors are Island Indigo, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White.

Here is how I made the card: (Unless stated otherwise, use SNAIL Adhesive to attach elements.)

  1. Cut 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ from Island Indigo cardstock. Score at 4-1/4″ and fold on the scored line to make the card base.
  2. Attach a layer of Pear Pizzazz cardstock, 4″ x 5-1/4″
  3. Cut Whisper White cardstock 3-3/4″ x 5″. Ink up the rubber with Pear Pizzazz. Use a Sponge Dauber to add some Island Indigo ink around the letters. Huff on the rubber stamp to reactivate the ink. Apply to the cardstock.
  4. Use the Sponge Dauber to apply ink around the edges of the white cardstock. Use very little ink, but apply multiple layers.
  5. Attach a 6-1/2″ strand of Pear Pizzazz 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon to the white cardstock, securing it on the back with regular tape. Then attach the cardstock to the card front.
  6. Tie a smaller strand of ribbon to the card front. Use one Glue Dot near the knot to attach the ribbon to the card front.
  7. Punch 2 Island Indigo hearts with the heart from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. Attach each to the card front with half a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  8. Punch 2 Pear Pizzazz hearts with the heart from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. Attach with SNAIL to the inside of the card.

That’s it. You’re done. My friends, that is how to make a clean & simple anniversary card! Happy Friday!

    1. Ha ha! We’re hardly crazy love birds. But I’ve now made this card in several different color combinations. I think I’ll show another one on Friday!

    1. Thank you!!! Now, the Big Question is…. will you use the same color palette, or change it?!?! Let me know your card turns out!
