A Hanukkah Card – without a Hanukkah Stamp

So you want to make a Hanukkah card, but don't own any Hanukkah stamps. And there isn't time to order a stamp set. Or you're just tired of using the same stamp set again.

Here is my solution ….

Hanukkah01

This card uses the small flame from Playful Pieces, a Hostess Level 3 stamp set. (You can earn this stamp set by hosting a party with sales of $500.) Before I owned this set, I've stamped leaves for flames. The squiggles are from the hostess same set, but any pattern or design will do!

My color combination is a "first" for me – Marina Mist, River Rock, and Very Vanilla. The menorah base is made from a strip of Brushed Gold card stock. The candles are short strips of Marina Mist. Isn't this clever? Everyone knows what the picture is …. and there's not a word on the card to explain it! Hmmm. I should have added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the candle flames. Oh, well, that will be done on my next version of this card!

So, if you need a Hanukkah card and don't own a Hanukkah stamp set, then feel free to adapt this card design. Or contact me to order a stamp set for you!!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!

I just love this!! Such a clever use of elements that don’t have anything to do with Hanukkah, but put all together, well what else could it be?? Great color combination, excellent lay out. With a little adaptation, this could become a birthday card! Well done!
