Okay, it's time to address the weather. This is winter. While snowstorms are not fun, the snowflakes themselves are really beautiful. Let's celebrate their beauty!
This is probably one of the simplest, cleanest designs I've made in a long time. I used the Serene Snowflakes and Sincere Salutations stamp sets. Snowflakes were stamped randomly in VersaMark, then covered with Clear Embossing Powder. I heat embossed them, then sponged Bashful Blue and Pacific Point Classic Ink all over the card, but mainly over the embossed snowflakes. See how they resist the ink? I added Basic Rhinestone Jewels to a few snowflakes. Then I stamped and punched out the sentiment, put a Clear Rhinestone Brad through it, and sponged the edges. Of course, I attached it to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals! My card stock is Whisper White and Pacific Point.
Makes me kind of like the snow!
Easy, easy! What do you think? Do you like simple cards, or do you prefer them to be more elaborate in their design? Let me know by leaving a comment.
P.S. I like “easy” cards when they look like you absolutely turned yourself inside out in the design and execution! With snowflakes, they really steal the show, so the best thing to do is just let them!
Just love this!! You know I will be CASE-ing! Thanks for the continuing inspiration. Let’s not get too carried away in praise of snow, however!!
