The Occasions Catalog started yesterday. I’ve held my own copy of it for over a month. It’s full of exciting new products. So much appeals to me. But I try to pace my purchasing. So, let’s take a look at my top picks!
1. My favorite Stamp Set – Painted Petals
I love, love, LOVE this stamp set! It was the first Sneak Peek I posted in December (click here to see that post) and I’ve used it the most from anything else in my first order! Here is a card I designed with the stamp set.
Okay, who needs another flower stamp set? Frankly, I don’t, but I love them. I try to stick to the stamp sets that offer something different. This one does!
The set contains 13 stamps. Three of them are the actual blooms – and each has a different style! Of course, there are also stems and leaves, lines and polka dots, and fabulous sentiments! You simply can’t go wrong with this set!
One more point. This stamp set is available in wood mount AND clear mount AND photopolymer! Stampin’ Up! is listening to us!
I won this stamp set, in clear mount, at the Catalog Kickoff for demonstrators. I would prefer it in Photopolymer. Just to make it easier to match blooms and stems, etc. However, my handy dandy Stamp-A-Ma-Jig does the trick now!
2. My Favorite Bundle – Crazy About You Stamp Set & Hello You Thinlits Dies
Although I’m not a fan of text that is all caps, I love this stamp set. It provides sets of words that you can combine in different ways. In fact, the simplicity of the caps allow you to combine the text with that from another set. So, stamp a “Happy Birthday” that is all flourished, with “from all of us” in all caps. Of course, there are also a couple of flowers in the stamp set!
3. Favorite Project Kit – Hello Life Project Kit
I started as a scrapbooker back in 2001. I made traditional scrapbooks that are paper-based. This Kit allows you to create a mini scrapbook that you keep on display. This 14″ x 17″ metal grid can be hung on the wall. However, I prefer to just lean it against the wall… on the kitchen counter, on the fireplace mantle, or on a shelf. This kit has a bunch of cool options – banners, frames, pom poms. Pure fun, fun, fun!
4. Favorite Designer Series Paper – Birthday Bash
This paper set contains Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Tangelo Twist. Okay, not my favorite individual colors, but they are great in combination. Who would have thought?! However, the best part is that two designs feature gold foil embossed images. So grand!
5. Favorite New Stampin’ Blendabilities Color – Soft Sky
Duh! Blue is my favorite color! Need I say more?
So, those are my top 5 picks. I hope that helps you make some decisions!
