Peekaboo Fabulous Flora

Fabulous Flora stamp set has a vintage look to it. But adding some Peekaboo Peach in the card design brings its appeal into a modern look!

Until now, every card I designed with Peekaboo Peach, one of the new 2017-2018 In Colors, has been fun and carefree. Every card I designed with the Fabulous Flora stamp sets, one of the sets you can buy only with Stampin’ Rewards dollars, has been vintage. This card design in somewhere in the middle!

I colored the flowers with Peekaboo Peach. I also used a Peekaboo Peach 3/8″ Ruched Ribbon on the flower stems. Those are the only pops of color. To maintain the vintage, subdued look, I used Tip Top Taupe and Early Espresso.

All in all, a balanced design!

To keep the design rich, I also used LOTS of layers. 5 layers of card stock. All were glued with SNAIL Adhesive. But I used Stampin’ Dimensionals between the second layer from the top and the third layer.

The smudges along the top and the bottom were made with Timeless Textures. Note that the careful use on my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig 101049 prevented the stamped images from overlapping too much. 😀

Merging the vintage with the fun & modern. Fun to do! Try it with one of your card designs, then leave a comment to tell us how it turned out!

  1. Really pretty! I know that earth tones don’t just jump off the page and say “hellooooo there!” but I do love them so!

    1. I find earth tones to be calming. Often not my first choice, by I do like to work with them!
