This card says, “You’re my Valentine every single day“… literally!
This card design is based on a swap card that I received in my upline’s group. What’s a swap? In a swap, you make several, say 10 cards of 1 design. You send them all to a hostess, who collects the same number of cards from the other participants. Then she swaps out the cards. So, while I made 10 cards in 1 design, I received back 10 cards, each of a different design! I create one card and receive 10 others in return!
It’s a great investment of time. The longest and most challenging part of any project (for me) is coming up with the design.
Anyway, I use the swaps to inspire me to make other designs.
On the swap card I received, the card had the stamped sentiment, die-cut into a heart and mounted on a rectangle with the stamped heart. I eliminated the rest of the card, but kept this piece as the focal point.
Ink on the focal point is Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz. I repeated those colors in the other layers of cardstock. Night of Navy cardstock and seam binding ribbon provide some POP!
When I looked through my stamp stash, I was surprised to see that I had few hearts. (As a demo, I can use retired products on my personal projects, but I must use only current products on my blog.) I found the tiny heart in the Coffee Cafe stamp set and used it on the background of the Pear Pizzazz layer!

Not Your Regular Valentine
While this isn’t an “unusual” valentine, it certainly doesn’t use the traditional pink and red colors.
However, there is one downside to this card. And in the interest of full disclosure, I feel I must share it with you…
One of my daughters made me promise NOT to use this sentiment on a card for my husband … ever. I guess she finds it too much LOL! So, I’m showing this card on my blog, but I won’t give it to my honey.
Doesn’t she realize that the REAL romantic part of any Valentine is how you sign it?
But, even if I don’t give this card to my husband, I still think he’s my Valentine every single day! <3
