Why Attend Card Classes?

Almost since I received my demo start-up kit, I've given card classes. I love doing this. It keeps my creative juices flowing. It forces me to try something new – whether it's a technique or a color combination. I have to use different styles, because not everyone will like to make the monochromatic cards that are my favorite!

But why should my customers attend my classes? If you're new to card making, then come to class to learn all about it. I review the basics for new stampers. And I try to teach good stamping and design practices. But what about the experienced card makers? Why should you attend classes? First of all, it's easy. You show up and all the materials are ready for you – cardstock is cut, embellishments are matched, stamps and ink pads are ready. There is nothing to look for. Everything is set up for you, and I clean up after you leave. But there's more.

I hear over and over that the biggest obstacle to making cards on your own is coming up with the design. Well, that's where I come in. I design the cards. You can make them exactly as I design them, or you can modify them to make them truly your own. It's up to you. And all my designs can be duplicated on your own at home. I even provide recipes, so that you have a list of the ingredients (i.e. materials) to reference. But there's more.

The best thing about card class, is the camaraderie. It is so much fun to sit around my kitchen table with other women (and girls), while working. We talk, we laugh, and we leave with finished, ready-to-use cards. It doesn't get any better than that!

So, if you're looking for a break in your routine, or could use some socializing time and/or greeting cards, then come to a class. It's the best investment of 2 hours you can make!

Seriously, card class is tremendous fun! Always great card designs, a chance to play with some very cool “toys”, wonderful new friends (and who couldn’t use more of those?)and an opportunity to tap into the creative side of our brains and discover talents and interests we might not even know we had. And if we already do have ’em, here’s the best place to really start to bloom!
