When do you send a hand stamped card?

When do you send a hand stamped card? For me, I do it primarily to let someone special know that I care and I'm thinking of him/her. Most of the time, we send cards to celebrate. But sometimes, it is for a sad occasion. Today, I'm showing a sympathy card.

Colors are Whisper White and Tempting Turquoise.

What is most unusual about this card, is that it's the first sympathy card I ever made using the Brights Color Collection. I typically choose subdued colors, but not today. Although, I admit that I added the Lucky Limeade leaves, just to break up the Tempting Turquoise. What do you think?

Stamp sets are Bordering on Romance and Loving Thoughts from the Occasions Mini. I also used the Triple Treat Flower, which you can earn for free during Sale-A-Bration. (Remember, Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31, 2012.)

I used lots of embellishments today, but I'll only highlight a couple. The Big Shot with the Adorning Accents Edgelits Die created that beautiful scallop at the bottom of the card. I also used the 5 Petal Punch and the Fancy Flower Punch to create the flower. A Basic Pearl and the Whisper White Organza Ribbon added some softness to this bright card. Here is a closer look at the layering of the flower.

Organza and pearls add a special touch.

So, you now know why I send a hand stamped card. But, why do you send a hand stamped card? Please a comment below. Thanks!
