The Easiest Way to Fix a Mistake on Your Card

We all do it. We carefully stamp an image, only to discover that it’s crooked, or it’s smudged, or (gasp!) it caught the edge of the rubber! What to do?! What is the easiest way to fix a mistake on your card?

Answer: Layer over it!

The large heart and punched sentiment show the easiest way to fix a mistake on your cardOriginally, I stamped Happy Valentine’s Day in Real Red directly on the Whisper White card stock. But it was a little crooked and the last letter was only partially stamped.

I fussed and fussed over it. I didn’t want to re-so the layer. It was already dry embossed with the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folder at the top and the bottom. The banner designs were made from the Banner Blast stamp set, punched out with the Banner Punch and attached to the card under the embossed curve with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This morning, it came to me. Sudden inspiration! I punched out a large heart, the sentiment and a small stamped heart. To make the hearts stand out, I sponged the edges with Pool Party ink.

Voila! A cute card with no mistakes!
