When I attended the Occasions Catalog Preview event for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, I was lucky to win the Grateful Bunch stamp set. Since then, I’ve designed several cards with this versatile stamp set. The Thank You card below is my favorite so far.
This design started as a card I considered for my Monthly Card Class. I started with Grateful Bunch from the Occasions Catalog. I stamped the leaves and a few flowers on the Very Vanilla card stock. I also added some splotches from Awesomely Artistic, a stamp set from the main catalog. The sentiment, which is stamped on scrap card stock and punched with Decorative Label Punch, is from Apple of My Eye.
The 4-1-1
- The main flowers are stamped and punched out – This makes the stand out. I stamped on Delightful Dijon card stock and punched with the Blossom Bunch Punch. Note that you can buy the stamp set and punch as a bundle and save 15%. Win-Win!
- I used Mini Glue Dots to attach the flower layers – They hold small pieces better than SNAIL Adhesive. I also attached the smaller flowers to the card front with Mini Glue Dots. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the largest flower.
- I stamped the sentiment on scrap card stock – Then I punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch, sponged the edges and attached to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I’d like to tell you that I did this as a design consideration. But really, I mis-stamped the sentiment on the card front. I used this small element to cover my mistake. Sigh.
In spite of the boo-boo, I’m so happy with this card design. I plan to use it for birthdays, anniversaries and all kinds of celebrations. What do you think? What can you do with this stamp set? Leave a comment and let us know!
