Sometimes, I don’t feel like using flower stamps on my cards! Hard to believe, but I think I can overdose on them – LOL. So, today I’m going to show you how to make a hand stamped card without images.
I started this card design using Bravo, a new photopolymer stamp set in the catalog. I just love the big, bold text with the wonderful fonts! Of course, I still wanted more, so I dipped into Itty Bitty Banners and Zoo Babies! (You never know where you will see that absolutely-perfect stamp!)
Colors are primarily Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral and Basic Gray – remember, I’m not an orange person. This color combination was a step outside the box for me!
I also added some Washi Tape from Epic Day and Watercolor Wonder. I think the gold Washi Tape adds something special to the celebration!
Did you notice the Rhinestone brad on the exclamation point of the main sentiment?
The 4-1-1
- To keep the main sentiment visible, I stamped it on a separate piece of cardstock. I matter it and attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. All this helps to make it prominent.
- The Basic Gray makes everything pop. The other colors are the same, They just differ in intensity. The gray offer contrast.
- While there are lots of stamps, none of the words overlap. That makes it too hard to read – I don’t believe our eyes and brains like to see that.
- I used the Washi Tape to push some of the sentiments further back from view. that also helps the main sentiment stand out.
