Hand Stamped Card to Celebrate a Birthday!

Today’s project is a little out-of-the-box for me. I rarely drink, but some cocktails look like they are so much fun. Even just to hold 😉 So, here is a hand stamped card to celebrate a birthday! See what you think.

Hand Stamped Card to Celebrate a Birthday!I started with the Happy Hour stamp set. It’s in the Annual Catalog and can be used for a variety of occasions. Including the holidays!!

And speaking of the holidays…. Don’t forget the my 12 Weeks of Christmas start tomorrow. It’s an exclusive series of 12 projects that I share with my mailing list subscribers. So be sure to be signed up by then. Just complete the box at the top of the right column.

Back to today’s project.

The 4-1-1

  • Repeat lines with the black stamping and the black mats. I stamped the images with the Black Memento Pad and matted each layer with Basic Black Cardstock.
  • Crystal Effects were painted over the beverages to add shine. Very festive! Always remember to let Crystal Effect dry well.
  • The 3 Candy Dots balance the stamped sentiment. Always to be sure to balance your designs. They don’t need to be symmetrical, in order to be balanced.

Lots of layers make the card design richer. Plus it helps separate colors that some people don’t like to see touching. I’m happy with the So Saffron touching the Coastal Cabana. But the black separation makes everything POP!
