I updated my Facebook status the other night, saying that I was attending a new catalog launch for Stampin’ Up! demos. I also said that I won a free stamp set. Today is the first day that Stampin’ Up! policy allows me to share a project I made with that set. Are you ready for it? Here it is 😀
I’m thrilled to share this project! I love this stamp set. I think it might be my favorite one in the Occasions catalog. (But give me a few days. I haven’t gone through the entire catalog enough times yet!)
The set is called Painted Petals. You might say, “But, Sandi, you already have a lot of flower stamps.” However, this stamp set is different from other flower stamp sets in my stash:
- The set has 13 different stamp in it. However, many of the stamps have several pieces to them. For example, all the flowers on my card are on one rubber stamp, while all the stems and leaves are on another rubber stamp. Two stamps and I had all those flowers and greenery on my card!
- Another interesting thing is that the flowers have shading in them. One application of ink and you have a design with interest and depth. Love it!
- Finally, this stamp set is available as wood mount, and clear mount, and photopolymer! You can have this stamp set any way you like it.
And check out the sentiment: You are amazingly AMAZING. What a fabulous sentiment. Use it for a birthday, thank you, thinking of you, even get well. The possibilities are truly endless!
Colors used are Lost Lagoon, Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz. I simply love this combination. It’s my current fave!
Here’s a different view of the card, so that you can see the layers.
I used Stampin’ Dimensionals between the second and third layers. I also used Stampin’ Dimensionals under the sentiment. I considered using Stampin’ Dimensionals under the torn card stock as well, but that seems to be too much 🙂
Finally, I added some Dazzling Details to make the flowers even more special!!
I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek. This is just a sample of the absolutely wonderful products that will be available in the new Occasions catalog. However, please remember that this catalog is available on January 6.
That means we still have around 4 weeks to shop in the Holiday catalog. Don’t waste it. Be sure to purchase the items that you still need or want. Even though you might be finished with this year’s holiday projects, you can start on next year’s projects!!!
By the way, if you still haven’t liked my Facebook Page, then please take a minute to do that now, so that you can see my posts there. Thanks!
WOW, WOW, WOW, and again WOW! Love it!!! And really that color combination is just so wonderful! And you certainly do not need to justify to ME any number of flower stamp sets!!!
Can’t wait to see this one live and in person. Congrats on a fantastic win!
Thank you!!! the truth is that I had so much fun with this stamp set. And here’s another sneak peek tidbit… the set contains 13 stamps. Count ’em! 13! Of course, not all of them are large like the ones I used here. But they are gorgeous.
There is a difficult part to using this set though. Choosing which stamps to use – LOL! Can’t wait to show you this one in person. I can show it to you at next Card Class! (but we won’t be using it yet….)
Oh, so look but don’t touch! Ack! You know what an instant gratification kind of girl I am! This is going to be torture!!!! But also kind of fun! 😉
I promise that your pain will be short-lived! I’ll have catalogs waiting for you if the mailed ones will not have arrived by then!
