Labor Day is next Monday. To me, that day signifies the end of summer. I’ve fallen behind in my scrapbooking, but I don’t want to let the summer end without a new page.
Here is the easiest scrapbook page to remember the 3 key events of the season.
Begin with 3 key photos. For me, these photos qualify:
- My family enjoying a beautiful summer day together.
- My husband and me, with scenery in the background, taken during our first getaway without the kids (!).
- Breakfast laid out on the table on our deck. (We like to eat breakfast outside during the warm summer days.)
This scrapbook page was created with MDS. Here are the items I used:
- 12″ x 12″ page, my own design (i.e. no template).
- Background paper = Summer Smooches DSP 27 (part of the Summer Smooches Designer Kit).
- Flowers = Cottage Garden Stamp Brush Set in Rich Razzleberry.
- Leaves = Autumn Days Leaf 2 stamp brush (part of Autumn Traditions Designer Kit) in Garden Green (just like the photo mats).
- Sun = Sun stamp brush (part of On the Go Designer Kit) in Crushed Curry, with a Real Red drop shadow.
Once you add your photos, you can add a little journalling right beneath each one.
If you’d like to have the page professionally printed, you can do that. Another alternative, is to export it to a jpeg file. I saved mine to share via the web/email, at 600 x 600 pixels.
Quick and easy. The perfect end to summer!
