Robyn’s Cool Card Designs

One of the nicest compliments that someone can give me is to design a card that was inspired by one of mine. And when the person doing it is one of my daughters, then I feel even better! That’s the topic of today post.

I have two daughters. Twins. Deanna will make cards on her own from time to time. She often starts with one of my card designs. I know that I’ve shared Deann’s work on my blog before. Robyn rarely makes cards. She claims that she’s not creative. But she is. She just doesn’t realize it! Today I’m showing two of her card designs.

Here is the first. It was based on a card design I posted last week. Robyn's cool card designs - http://stampedimpression.com

You see, Robyn isn’t stuck on green-and-blue like I am, LOL! She wanted a strong design for a male. So she went with black and grays, specifically, Basic Black, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate. The Very Vanilla on the card front keeps it from looking cold. Robyn didn’t add another color for pop. She remained strong and true to her design.

While Robyn used Big News, as I did, she added the “manly” drink from Happy Hour. (She also stamped it on the inside of the card. Simple. Bold. Perfect for a man. She did well, don’t you agree?

By the way, Robyn’s card is not crooked. My photo is. Sigh.

Here is Robyn’s second card. I admit that I don’t remember for whom she made this card. But its design was inspired by a post I wrote at the beginning of December.

Robyn01 While her previous card closely resembles my design, this one is so very different. It’s hard to see where she CASEd it. How can she believe that she’s not creative?!?!

Robyn started with the Big Day stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. That choice guaranteed a fun card. She stamped some circles from Work of Art on the background. Her color scheme of Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum and Pistachio Pudding kept the design fun and festive.

Notice how she stamped the main sentiment a second time on Pistachio Pudding card stock, cut it out, then attached it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front. Perfection!

So, what do you think? Isn’t Robyn creative? Why don’t you show her the love by leaving a comment. I’ll be sure to have her check for them!

If you’d like to be a guest designer here, then just let me know. I’m always looking for new ideas!

Until then, simply enjoy Robyn’s cool card designs. I know that her friends will!

    1. Thank you, Karen. I guess Robyn should start feeling a little more confident about her card making!
