This is almost my last chance to work with Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz, a really great color combination. These 2 colors will retire at the end of tomorrow.
The stamped images are from Mixed Bunch and Betsy's Blossoms stamp sets. The design is quite straightforward, with Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz. This is the last time I will showcase this color combination. Sigh.
Mixed Bunch is moving from the Occasions mini to the new catalog. Betsy's Blossoms will appear for the first time in the new catalog.
The flowers are all punched with the Blossom Punch. I used Concord Crush 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon for the leaves. The ribbon is retiring, too. Isn't it pretty?
Here is a closer look so that you can see the layers of the main flower. I attached it to the card front using some Stampin' Dimensionals.
To complete the card design, I stamped a flower and some leaves on the inside. They are also on the envelope flap, although I didn't photograph the envelope of it. Here is the peek at the inside of the card.
The fun part of designing this card, was using products both from the old and the new catalogs. I shall miss the products that are retiring. But, I admit, it going to be fun working with some new products, too. There is much to look forward to!!
I love to stamp on the inside. And, if you apply only light colors, then you can write right over the stamped image!
Love this layout and the color combination. Sigh…sad that they are gone.
I have now gotten into the habit of adding a little detail to the inside of my cards, unless one is intended to be written in extensively to those friends to whom I send “newsy” notes. It makes a card just that much more special, I think!
