Today, with only 2 days left in Sale-A-Bration, I'm showing how I use new and old elements in my card designs.
My first card has a vintage look to it. It's achieved through subdued colors and the Naturals Ivory card base. I used the Adorning Accents Edgelits to add interest and dimension to the card. The Lucky Limeade 1/8" Organdy Ribbon adda a touch of fun. The stamp set, Fresh Vintage, and the ribbon from the Everyday Enchantment Brad & Ribbon Pack can both be earned for free during the Sale-A-Bration promotion.
My second card today has a younger look to it. This is due to the bright colors I used and the simple lines. I used the Fresh Vintage stamp set again, but this time I included a sentiment from Perfect Punches. And how about the right edge of the card front – isn't that fun? I stamped the image 4 times, punched each with the 1" Circle Punch, then mounted each on card stock punched with the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. Pool Party, Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive – not a combination that I use often, but definitely good on this design.
The other interesting tidbit about these cards is that they use new elements – like the Edgelits – and elements that we've had a long time – like circle punches. Don't forget to dig into your stash from time to time. You'll find lots of new ways to use the things that you have. And they're even more fun when mixed with new items!
Thinking about comments you’ve made recently … Is the Edgelit die (i.e. the curvy cut line) part of what you like, too?
I guess I should be using more orange on my projects! Thanks.

You’re back!! I missed seeing you here! Thanks for the vote of confidence!
