We just finished with Halloween, so that means holiday time is about to go into high gear. There's Thanksgiving, my birthday, Hanukkah and Christmas. Okay, maybe you don't celebrate all of those – like my birthday 😉 – but you probably celebrate some of them! Here is my first Thanksgiving card of the season.
I just love all the card I made last Thanksgiving. It's almost tempting to just re-run some of those posts. But, I want to present some fresh ideas for my readers! So, here we are!
This card uses the Day of Gratitude stamp set. I still it makes me design outside my comfort zone, but it never lets me down! The card begins with River Rock card stock. 4-1/4" x 11". I scored it in the center and then cut 1 inch off the front. I attached a strip of Spice Cake Designer Series Paper on the inside, so that you can see it when the card is closed. Other colors used are More Mustard, Pool Party and Very Vanilla.
So, what are you doing this holiday season? Returning to previous card designs or forging forward with something new? Leave a comment below and let me know!
Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
Sandi
Thanks! By the way, unlike the rest of my life, when it comes to card making, stepping outside my comfort zone is fun!
This is absolutely beautiful! I love the DSP peeking out from the edge. I, too, am tempted to re-hash last year’s designs (hoping that no one will recognize them?) but I will push myself (except maybe not too far out of my comfort zone) and come up with something new. This card is a great jumping off point! Thanks!
