Mix & Match Stamp Sets

I love to mix & match stamp sets. With Stampin’ Up! you really don’t need to do that, since the stamps in a set always coordinate well. But sometime, it’s just fun to do! Check out this card for the Fourth of July.

Mix & Match Stamp Sets for teh Fourth of JulyThis card is perfect to accompany your hostess gifts at your holiday get-together.

I used both the Work of Art and Perfect Pennants stamp sets. Of course the colors are Real Red, Whisper White and Night of Navy.

Using the abstract shapes and applying them to the design of the American flag is obviously easy. Then I decided to swap out the zig-zag from Work of Art, and stamp the long banners from Perfect Pennants. I know some of my readers would prefer that I stamped those striped using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig. But that precisions didn’t match the winsome nature of the rest of the design.

For a special touch, I punched the stars using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack – The stars at the top left are made from Silver Glimmer Paper.

When you’re looking for a quick design, take a look at the abstract images in some of our new stamp sets. Then feel free to mix & match them. You’ll love the results!!
