It’s a dreary Monday, so I decided to Make a Wish Today. What do I wish for? Design inspiration, of course! Here is what I came up with.
I’m having so much fun with the Perfect Pennants stamp set from the Occasions catalog. While I’ve used all the stamps in this set, I always come back to the sentiment Make a Wish.
I tried to stick to colors that are gender neutral, so that I could make best use of this card. Colors used are Pistachio Pudding, Summer Starfruit and Early Espresso. I used ribbons, and a teeny clothespin to add interest. I was going to use some designer series paper, but I kept changing my color palette. At the end, I had to create my own “designer series paper”! What do you think?
In fact, that’s my Tip of the Day. When you want to add a layer with several colors, then it’s easiest to do with shapes and non-flower images. (Can you imagine that? I suggested a time when you don’t want to use a flower stamp!!) Be sure to have some contrast in your colors. Stamp so that the images overlap. In fact, even stamp off the page.
Once all is said and done, I’m quite happy with this design. Therefore, this card allowed me to make my wish come true today!
