I’m getting ready for the fall holidays by displaying a Magnificent Maple with bling!
Let me begin by saying that I LOVE this maple leaf stamp. I just don’t love that everyone is taking the time to cut it out before adding it to their projects. I’ve said many times before – some people have way too much time on their hands. For me, card making is supposed to be stress-free. You know, FUN!!
I started with the Magnificent Maple stamp from the Holiday Catalog. I sponged it with an assortment of fall colors. Then I covered the whole thing with 2-Way Glue and lots of Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter. It makes the card so festive and happy!
The sentiment is from Sassy Salutations, a familiar stamp set to many of you!
Then, I wanted to add some “maturity” to my design. Birthdays and holidays are made to be all glitter, but fall is not so bling-y. I added the teeniest strip of Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper and a knotted piece of Early Espresso 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon. Of course I attached the central piece at an angle using Stampin’ Dimensionals, just to give it a little whimsy!
By the way, Monday was Canadian Thanksgiving. I think I had this card on my mind, reminiscing about the Good Ol’ Days!
