Looking for an Easy, yet Formal, Christmas Card

Are you looking for an easy, yet formal, Christmas Card design? There are so many styles to choose from. During the next weeks, I’ll try to present as many different styles as I can!

An easy, yet formal, Christmas card designI started with the Wishing You stamp set from the current Holiday catalog. Just seeing a pile of presents makes me happy! To keep the card easy to make, I stamped the entire pile in one color – Night of Navy. Doesn’t get much easier than that.

An easy way to add interest to a card design is to increase the number of layers. This card has 6 layers of card stock: the Whisper White card base, two layers of Night of Navy card stock, two layers of Brushed Silver card stock, and the top layer of Whisper White that I stamped. All were made with straight cuts using the Paper Trimmer. Again, the easiest way to cut card stock.

I ran the larger silver card stock through the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine with the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This is a simple way to add dimension to a card design.

Three strips of Silver 1/8″ Ribbon add more formality. The silver bow and a Rhinestone Basic Jewel on the presents add some fun!
