On January 24, I said that I was waiting for my Triple Treat Flower to arrive with my Sale-A-Bration order. While it was in transit, I continued to experiment with layered flowers. Here is my favorite.
I used the Mixed Bouquet and Circle Circus stamp sets. With punches and my trusty Big Shot, the flower just came to life. I really love this flower. Now, all I need to do is design a card where it can live!
While you could order the Triple Treat Flower stamp at any time, during Sale-A-Bration you can earn it for free with a $50 purchase. Kind of makes it more fun!
When my Triple Treat Flower stamp set arrived, I immediately began to work with it. Besides layers of card stock, I used Stampin' Dimensionals. I like the foam adhesive and the Twitterpated button (from the Occasions Mini catalog.) However, I think I went overboard with the layers.
I probably could have eliminated with bottom layer of Sahara Sand. Or maybe, I could have tried a colored flower. In any case, I think I will probably pull off the largest layer and design a card for it! (I'm showing this example for those of you who think I never make a mistake!)
Sometimes, my card designs start with a single element, eventually evolving into a full project. I believe these flowers will do just that.
Do you ever start your projects with an element, as I did here? Leave a comment below and let me know.
