It’s perfectly acceptable to send Hot Air Balloons for Valentine’s Day instead of hearts and flowers! Take a look!
I admit that lately “life has been in the way” of my stamping business and performance. Because of that, this year I didn’t buy any specific Valentine stamp sets or tools from the Occasions catalog. While my wonderful husband doesn’t expect a hand stamped card for every Hallmark holiday, I really love to make one for him.
So, I went back to the annual catalog. I often make cards using the You Lift Me Up!
How I Made the Banner
The banner took some effort. The one that you see on the finished card is actually my second attempt.
I cut 4 strips of cardstock, each 4 inches long. Their widths were: 5/8″, 7/8″, 1″, 1-1/8″. I lined them up so that they lay in a “centered” pile, and inserted them in the Triple Banner Punch. Once I had the notched end cut, I stamped the sentiment on the narrowest Whisper White cardstock. I trimmed the length. Then I lay it on the Cherry Cobbler cardstock, and trimmed that length. I repeated with the remaining 2 strips of cardstock.
The finished banner looks pretty good! I think I’ll use this “technique” again!
