Looking for an easy, yet unique, fall card? Here’s a solution for you!
I had planned to show this card on Saturday, as well as publish a video on how to make it! It was World Card Making Day and it seemed to be the perfect time. Many of my readers tell me that they would make cards if it didn’t take so long and it was easier to do. This card is quick AND easy.
The stamps are from Flower Shop, which has the matching Pansy Punch. Easy! The watercolor “technique” on the background is made by a few quick strokes with markers and then applying the Aqua Painter. Some Washi Tape, a few Candy Dots, and I was done! Less than 10 minutes!
Obviously, that post never happened. I was so-o-o-o-o disappointed. I had finally figured out how to set up my camera to record an awesome video. (Many thanks to Kevin Phelan, my best friend and technical adviser!) I worked out some of my bigger technical issues with the video editing software. I thought I had it all resolved. Alas, no. First I ran into the battery-isn’t-fully-charged problem. Fixed that. But then, I finished my project, (for the fourth time, I might add), only to see that my camera stopped recording! Why in the world?!?!? I finally gave up.
This morning I solved the riddle. My memory card in my camera was full! (It’s very old and much smaller than the ones we can buy today.) Lesson learned. I’m off to buy a larger memory card for my camera. So, look for that video, sometime. Others will follow, too!
Until then, this is such an easy, yet unique, fall card. Try it for yourself!
Wow! Love it! I think I like the unique factor better. Unless it’s something that I’m going to mass-produce. Then it needs to be easy.
I gotta get some of those “candy dots”! They are so much better than brads for embellishment! Brads are great for holding layers or other elements together but they sure get bulky if you’re just going for some “bling”!
This card was so much fun to make! I’m glad that you liked it!
