Happy Veteran's Day 11-11-11, to all those who serve and who have served. I thought this tribute was fitting for the spirit of the day.
This card is quite simple in design. Of course, it's red, white and blue – or Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White and Night of Navy. The stars were die cut with my Big Shot. And the sentiment is from the Thank You Kindly stamp set. A little sponging and lots of Stampin' Dimensionals, give this card a lot of character.
In Canada, where I was born and raised, we call November 11 Remembrance Day. It's where we remember not only the people who served/served, but the people who died in battle. I know it's done differently here in the States. But this is one tradition I find difficult to adapt.
So, have a peaceful Remembrance Day. Happy Veteran's Day 11-11-11.
Until next time,
Sandi
I try to put a new twist on a tried-and-true design. I think I was successful here. Thanks for commenting!!
really creative!! not the typical stars and striped design that everyone seems to do
Thanks!
Perfect!! Artistic, patriotic and sharp. Nicely done, no matter which country.
