Did you know that today, December 9, is National Christmas Card Day? Well, it is. This special day honors Sir Henry Cole (1818 – 1874) of England. Cole created the first commercial Christmas card in 1843.
This is not a commercial Christmas card, but it’s my design today.
Now, Christmas isn’t only about the presents. But picking them, shopping for them, wrapping them and sending/giving them takes a lot of time. This card is both a card AND a present!
Stamped with Your Presents, a stamp set from the Holiday Catalog, it took almost no time to put together. The hardest part was attaching the Silver 1/8″ Ribbon and the Silver Cording Trim at the bottom. I was all thumbs today.
I see I was also all thumbs with the camera. I don’t usually use fuzzy photos. Sigh. I apologize for that.
One special thing to note is that this stamp set will retire on January 4. That means it will be for sale until that date, or while supplies last. But it won’t carry forward to the next catalog – annual or mini.

An important note is that if you mail your cards today, it is guaranteed to arrive before the holiday. So, if you’re still working on cards – as I am – then get busy! 😀
Christmas Card Day. Definitely a special day to people who make hand stamped cards!
