March 2 is the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel, more commonly known as Dr. Seuss. Growing up, Dr. Seuss was one of my favorite authors. When my children were young, I shared many of his delightful books with them. So, today, I celebrate my love of hand-stamping cards with my love of these wonderful books. Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
My Tribute to Dr. Seuss
Congratulations!
Today is The Day!
You'll start making cards
in a special hand-stamped way!
You have ideas in your head.
You have rubber stamps in yours hands.
Just add Classic Ink
For designs that are grand!
So…
Whether you emboss or die-cut or glue,
or add ribbons or brads or a button or two.
It matters not as long as you do
what pleases you most
when stamping a card in your favorite hue!
Today is The Day!
Your card stock is waiting
in a Hand Stamping Way!
Do you know the book from which this word pattern is adapted? My absolute favorite … Oh, the Places You'll Go! Have you read it? I read this book with my daughters the night before the annual First Day of School. We even read it the night before they left for college!
Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
I gave away my Dr. Seuss books long ago. But fortunately, I just bought them again for my daughters!
And she’s a poet, too, folks!! A woman of many talents and skills! I always thought that if I ever tried to write children’s books, I wanted to write like Dr. Seuss. So clever and so much fun to read aloud to little ones. My copy of One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish is 50-hum-hum-hum-hum years old but it’s still hanging on!
