Do you need a Thanksgiving card that truly communicates how thankful you are? Today’s design has just that impact.
This card, made with the Truly Grateful stamp set from the holiday catalog, has a lot of texture. That’s what makes it so interesting. You can look at it for several minutes and still find surprises in it!
I added textures to this card first by the inked images. There’s a wood grain on the background, as well as sponging around the center oval. Of course, the flowers have a texture all of their own.
I also used 3 types of ribbon: 1-1/4″ Burlap Ribbon, Pumpkin Pie 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon, and Natural 7/8″ Cotton Ribbon. Not only is this an interesting combination, it’s a good example of how to use ribbon, while keeping your card flat! (We love flat cards, because they’re easy to mail!)
By the way, the card base is made from Natruals Ivory card stock, which has tiny flecks in it. That adds texture, too!
So, if you’re looking for a Thanksgiving card that truly communicates how thankful you are, try creating a card with lots of texture!
love this background!
Thanks! And it’s so easy to do with the right stamp set! 😉
