Festive Festival of Trees

Festival of Trees has always been one of my favorite holiday stamp sets. It’s just so fun. Combine it with the coordinating Tree Punch and you’re well on your way to cards with a WOW! factor! Use it with other stamps and embellishments for unique designs. Take a look.

Festive Festival of Trees - http://stampedimpression.comThere are a lot of details on this card design, making it perfect for someone special on your list. Each one is easy enough, Put them together and you have a card that shows you really care.

The 4-1-1

  • Lots of Layers – 4 layers of card stock always enriches your design. This card has 4 rectangles of card stock, including the card base. Its 5th layer is the punched card stock tree on top!
  • Stamping on 3 layers – Each bit of stamping shows another style and use. The obvious stamp is the decorated tree. It’s fun and whimsical, creating a focal point. The evergreen trees on the recessed green layers provide a background with texture – even though it’s a flat layer. The sentiment is absolutely traditional, making this card suitable for a recipient of any age.
  • A splash of color on a monochromatic card – Face it, this card is GREEN: Pear Pizzazz and Wild Wasabi. But the colored ornaments on the tree with the shiny Gold Cording Trim adds a whole lot of interest.
  • Strategically placed Stampin’ Dimensionals – These help make specific elements on the card POP! The top Whisper White Layer is attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. They make the background trees really fall into the background. Two Stampin’ Dimensionals under the focal tree makes it move into the foreground. Don’t you find it amazing that these little pieces of foam adhesive can do so much for us?!?!
