During July, everyone has a reason to smile! When you spend at least $50 on current Stampin' Up! products, you can purchase the Reason to Smile stamp set for just $5. View the flyer here.
I love the 2-step stamping flowers. (I think 2-step stamping was the first stamping technique that I learned.) Here is one of my favorite card designs so far!
I stamped the stemmed flower three times – the outline is in Gumbo Green, one of the new In Colors, while the "solid" part – actually, it's really the "dotted" part – is in Pool Party. (Pool Party is still one of my go-to colors! I'm so glad it's still here for another year.)
I tied a full bow around the horizontal ribbon band, using the Daffodil Delight 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon. (I've used that ribbon so much, I'm almost ready to re-stock it!) And then, just to add some elegance to my card design, I attached a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the base of one flower.
When my daughter exclaims, "Oh, that's so cute!" I know that I have a winning design.
Just one more way in which I have a Reason to Smile!
Yes, she does. She inherited it from her mother 🙂
Actually, she really has her own style. Both daughters do. It’s quite fun to see their styles evolve!
Just got my set all mounted up and ready to go! Can’t wait to start playing! Two step stamping is such fun — lots of “how did you DO that?!” factor! And your daughter, of course, has exquisite taste.
