I've been looking at my fall cards from last year. I love them all, but want to "freshen" them up a bit. One way is to apply a different technique. Today, I played with Emboss Resist, one of my favorite techniques. Here is what I did.
There are all kinds of interesting things going on in here. First of all, I stamped and heat embossed on Designer Series Paper, not card stock. You can do that, as long as you take care not to burn the paper. (Just hold the heat tool 4 to 6 inches above your project and keep the nozzle moving.) Then I sponged different color inks over the embossed images, wiping the excess off in between. You can still see the shine of the gold showing through.
I really like this approach. I think I'm going to play with this some more, and use it for this month's Virtual Club tutorials. What do you think? Leave me a comment below.
