Easy Baby Scrapbook Page Made with My Digitial Studio

During the "olden days" I created scrapbooks full of photos of my babies. (Actually, it was 3 volumes for each girl.) I find that handling the photos, paper and embellishments is highly therapeutic. However, as I explore the possibilities of the digital design world, I'm learning to experience the same feelings. To illustrate this, take a look at My Easy Baby Scrapbook Page Made with My Digital Studio.

Here is my "first draft".

Easy Baby Scrapbook Page - made with template and no enhancements.

I started with Today & Everyday Designer Photobook Template. This 24-page desinger template comes with My Digital Studio. All I did was insert 3 photos and add the title and year. Since I knew which photos I wanted to use before I started working, this page took no time at all. It's perfectly fine, just the way it is.

Then I started the therapy. I swapped in papers and embellishments. Then, of course, I swapped some out. I really like a clean look to my pages. Here is where I stopped working.

Still and Easy Baby Scrapobook Page - but with a few embellishments.

I added a background paper from Nursery Designer Series Paper and moved things around. I added a drop shadow to my title – I usually add a drop shadow to almost every element on my page, including the stamp brush images . I copied the set of flowers from the original template page. Then I inserted tiny 2010-2012 In Color Paper Buttons into the center of each flower. Some are heart-shaped and some are circular. Did you notice, too, the special message to my daughters? (Hint: It's above the horizontal line of rectangles!)

Because I'm showing this on my blog today, I decided to limit myself to only the digital downloads that are included with the software. That was easy to do, since My Digital Studio comes with over $500 of digital downloads. I wanted to illustrate how easy it is to get started with this tool.

I should explain that I had many more items on this page at one point in my design. There were stamp images and ribbon and more journaling, but later I pulled much of it out. I believe that the photos provide the memories that I'm trying to preserve. I don't want a lot of "stuff" getting in the way. (Actually, I may add a little journaling back in. Some thoughts are just too private to share with the world wide web!)

For me, whether I'm working on a physical scrapbook or a digital design, the therapeutic experience is still the same. I savor the memories and enjoy the journey! Stay with the built-in template, or change it to suit your own taste. Any way you choose this is still an easy baby scrapbook page made with My Digital Studio!
