Most of my friends and customers know that I started my paper crafting journey as a traditional scrapbooker. I love evey aspect of scrapbooking – from choosing the photos and planning the page, to adhering the paper and photos. I've competed both large projects and small ones. Making the scrapbook is almost as enjoyable as the original events I'm remembering.
And, even though I still like to work on my paper-based projects, I've entered the digital world, thanks to My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up!
But even with a superb digital design tool, everyone still needs help now and then to get started on designing their layout. How could I help? Well, one day I had a brilliant idea – Digital Scrap Maps!
Digital Scrap Maps are hand-drawn sketches of 2-page scrapbook spreads. They suggest where to put titles, photos, and other key elements. Follow it exactly as drawn, or use it as a starting point for designing your own layout.
And best of all, Digital Scrap Maps is a subscription service. A new scrap map arrives every week via email. Not only do you receive inspiration, but you receive it on a regular basis – you always have a fresh idea to try. And, you can store the scrap maps in one folder on your computer, for easy reference. No more sorting through piles of paper cut from magazines. It just doesn't get any easier than that.
Now, the picture above is just a sample. The ones in the subscription service are bigger and more legible. If you're interested in learning more, click here.
Digital Scrap Maps is a way to overcome "scrapbooker's block". Check it out and let me know what you think.
Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
