Digital Birthday Card for my Sister!

Yikes! My sister's birthday is on Friday. It's hand-stamped and beautiful, but it won't reach her in time. (She lives out-of-country.) Thank you, My Digital Studio! I will email this digital birthday card for my Sister, to keep her going until the hand-stamped one arrives!

A digital birthday card for my sister!

This card is perfect for her. It's fun and youthful – just like she is! (Okay, she's a little older than I am, but who's counting?!)

I started with a trifold card template called Play Date. It's from July 2010 and I believe it's probably retired by now. I wouldn't usually start my blog post with this type of template; however, I really wanted to use it for my sister's card.

I updated the design a little. I added buttons and rhinestones to four of the flower centers. I stamped flowers from the Love & Laughter stamp brush set. The text was typed in Night of Navy with a drop shadow. It was pretty quick to put together. Under other conditions, I would have it printed through the Stampin' Up! Professional Print Services for just $2.95.! However, I'm on a tight schedule. Plus, I really want the hand-made card to be mailed.

So, this card will be sent as a "jpg" file, attached to an email message on Friday. And, hopefully, received the hand-stamped card soon after. While I know that she'll appreciate all the work and creativity that went into her physical birthday card, I know she'll like the digital birthday card that I made for her.

Happy birthday to my favorite sister!!
