If you plan your time wisely, you should be able to fit everything into a long weekend. Here’s a card I started today. I think I want to work on it some more – and I’ll be able to make time for card making this long weekend!
Colors used are Very Vanilla, Melon Mambo and Wild Wasabi. Together they say “summer” to me!
I stamp flowers from Simply Sketched and the sentiment from Banner Greetings. Both stamp sets are hostess sets – they’re available for purchase with your hostess dollars. You can the money to purchase these sets by either hosting a home party for $150 or placing an order for $150. This is a great way to stretch your stamping budget further!
The design is quite simple. For interest, I added a very light touch of Water coloring to the main flowers. Although it’s difficult to see in the photo, I added Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter to those same flowers. I also pierced a series of holes in the Melon Mambo mat surrounding the flowers.
I think I still want to add “something to this design, but I need to let it go for now. However, it’s Labor Day Weekend and I’ll be able to set aside a little time for card making. Especially because they’re calling for rain on Sunday.
