I know it’s become fashionable, but this weekend was only the first time I attended a ceremony to celebrate a couple’s renewal of their marriage vows. Here is the card we included to their gift basket.
I didn’t want a regular wedding card. I didn’t want just a general flower card. So, I started with the images from Love & Laughter. I stamped Congratulations on the inside, adding two more hearts. I also stamped 2 hearts on the envelope.
A strip of hearts was embossed along the bottom by running Whisper White card stock through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine with the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The strand of Whisper White 5/8″ Organza Ribbon with a knot in the center adds a nice sheen, as well as dimension to the design. The strand of Pearl Basic Jewels along the top of the cake nicely finishes the presentation. (They also hide a messy stamping mistake – *sigh*.)
Colors are Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals and Whisper White.
Whether for the first 25 years, or the second 25 years, the wishes are still the same. I hope this very special found the card to fit.
