Chicagoland is celebrating today and I fell happy! I’ve been holding onto this card for a while. It says a big hello with a big dahlia!
I started with Definitely Dahlia. I stamped it in Delightful Dijon first. Then the lighter flowers were stamped off once before they were stamped on the card stock.
I die-cut the sentiment in Garden Green card stock by running it through the Big Shot with the Hello You Thinlits. These Thinlits always add a special touch to a card. The detailed, smooth letters are elegant!
When the Definitely Dahlia stamp was introduced, I wasn’t interested in it. It was just too big. Then one day I realized that it didn’t need to stamp the entire image on the card stock. The light bulb went on! Since then, I’ve used it on countless cards – both for women and men. I use it almost as much as some texture stamp sets! Do you use Definitely Dahlia? You should try it!
Here’s a tip: Always use wood-mount background stamps, not clear-mount. It’s way easier to obtain a clear, sharp image. That’s the one mistake I made with this stamp set. I chose clear-mount. I’ll be truthful. I wanted to save a little money. I regret that decision every time I pick up this stamp. Don’t repeat my mistake.
This card is really simple. It allows your eyes to focus on the main flower and the sentiment.
It simply makes me happy. What about you? A Big Hello with a Big Dahlia.
