Best of 25 Years – Love Card Design

I know that Valentine's Day has passed, but every day is a good day to say, "I love you." And with the Best of 25 Years Love campaign, you have some pretty cute stamped images, too! Here is a Love card that I designed.

Love the font on this Best of 25 Years stamp.

The main text comes from the Best of Love stamp set.  I added the typical stamped and die cut hearts. A little sponging. Some ribbon – Don't you just love the Raspberry Ripple 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon? Even though it's a shade of pink, the stiched lines make it quite suitable on a card for a man!

The best part was the card base. It's not always necessary to mat your images with rectangles and squares. Here I used card stock at unusual angles. I think I'll work some more with this type of design. I find it most interesting. And challenging. I had to play with the pieces to be sure to have the balanced that I wanted.

Are you aware about the Best of 25 Years stamp sets? A new one is introduced each month. It contains stamps from retired sets, as well as a few that have never been offered before. These sets are here for a limited time. For example, the Best of 25 Years Love is here only until March 31. (Read about it here.)

I know there is a lot to take in today. Best of 25 Years. Love. Interesting card design. So, take your time. And be sure to contact me if you have any questions!

  1. It helps me deal with the loss. Of course, you’ve seen my craft room. I have lots of retired products on my shelves. Sigh.

  2. “Olive” the fact that SU is bringing back some retired sets!! And we have 12 months to stroll down memory lane. Awesome!!
