There are so many ways to tell someone, “I made this card for you because you are loved a lot.”
Today’s card uses the very detailed Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits Dies. Have you tried these yet? While I wasn’t too keen on these Thinlits at first, I have grown to love them!
My personal taste is fairly simple. These Thinlits are quite ornate. But they are g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s. You need to check them out.
I die cut the large heart from the Island Indigo paper in the Regals Designer Series Paper Pack, using the large die from the set of Thinlits.
To remove the paper from the die, I used the new Big Shot Die Brush. I lay the die with the paper still attached to it, paper side down on the sponge mat. Then I gently rolled the brush all over the back of the die, making sure to touch every part of it. The die lifted off, leaving the little bits of paper behind on the sponge mat. No dryer sheets. No wax paper. And quick!
After cutting out the heart, I die cut some flowers from Cherry Cobbler card stock – 3 large and 2 small. I attached Island Indigo and Whisper White Candy Dots in the flower centers.
A very thin Cherry Cobbler mat provides cohesion to the card design. The stamped sentiment, from Grateful Bunch, finishes the card.
A perfect flowery love card, that really isn’t too flowery!
Valentine’s Day is coming up next week. This would be a great card for that Special Someone!! 😉
