Today's card was made for a friend's birthday. I wanted it to be pretty flat, so that it wouldn't require extra postage.
It uses the Hostess Level 1 Set, Because I Care. This stamp set is just so beautiful. By the way, it will retire with the rest of Last Chance stamp sets on July 1. The only way to get it is to hold a home workshop and earn it. It's easy, so don't wait any longer. Call me to book your party!
The colors I used were Certainly Celery, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant. I stamped the flower on Very Vanilla card stock, using Stampin' Write Markers. Then I tore the edges and sponged them for a softer look. I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the whole thing a few times, and secured it on the back with regular tape. The center set of card stock was attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
To make my handmade card even more special, I stamped on the envelope flap (see top photo) and the inside of the card.
I hope she likes the card!
Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
Sandi
Thanks! I hope she liked it. Some of my friends just don’t understand the love and effort that I put into my hand stamped cards. So, it makes me a little uneasy.
And I’m lucky to have you as my friend, too!
Very nice!! Your friends are so lucky to receive such beautiful cards! (I say “friends” plural because I’m a lucky one, too!)
