A Sweet Card to Welcome a Baby Boy
Does this card look familiar to you? If it does, then you are probably a newsletter subscriber of mine. In this week’s newsletter, I presented the corresponding baby girl card! If you’re not a subscriber, then be sure to complete the form at the top of the right-hand column and sign up.
But back to the card.
To make the card, I started by stamping the spots. Those are from the Birthday Backgrounds stamp set.
Once I had stamped and matted the kangaroo, I placed it on the white cardstock. Using it as a guide, I stamped Welcome above the kangaroo, and Little One below the kangaroo. I attached the cardstock and ribbon strip across the middle. Finally, I added the stamped image halfway between the two sets of text. As long as you work slowly, you’ll find everything perfectly aligned. It’s that easy!
The ribbon is part of the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack. I know that buying products in a suite makes it easy to coordinate elements in your design. However, in this case, I mixed-and-matched items from an assortment of designs/suites. The colors of the ribbon worked perfectly with my card’s colors. Sometimes you just need to think outside the box. 😉
