I like to work with different techniques. Today, I’m showing my first attempt at making a pile of presents from card stock. Please remember that this really need more work. Just examine the pile of boxes.
I admit that I didn’t put a ton of time into this card. The pile of presents was my primary focus. So, what do you think?
The top box was stamped on Very Vanilla card stock and cut out. The Cherry Cobbler box was run through the Big Shot with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Brushed Gold box was stamped and heat embossed.
There is one Stampin’ Dimensional under the middle box. There are two Stampin’ Dimensionals, one on the other, under the bottom box.
The Silver 1/8″ Ribbon is “tied” around the whole pile. (If this were a card to keep, rather than one to just figure things out, I would have tied the ribbon in a bow.)
I think this technique has interesting possibilities. What do you think? It’s a good way to use up scraps. It’s a perfect way to add the exact colors you want to your card. While this card is the start of a design for a Christmas card, it can be used for many other occasions, like birthdays! I think I’m going to work on it some more.
Why don’t you try the technique of making a pile of presents from card stock? Then send me a photo to let me know how you did! After all, who doesn’t like a pile of presents?!
